Barry Tucker: Yard Manager, Home Builder, and Kettle Corn Extraordinaire.
When asked what the most important thing is you have learned working for Cardinal Home Center, Barry shared that Cardinal is very dedicated to its customers and employees. “Cardinal will do anything necessary to ensure our customers get the materials they need and when they need them. Our sales staff is very knowledgeable and spend many hours ensuring they find, order, and deliver the products that our customers need for their construction projects. Cardinal and its employees are like a family. When someone requires help, they are there to help and assist in any way possible.”
Barry went on to tell us how he likes spending his free time with his family. “I am lucky that all my children and grandchildren live close to me, and I get to do all kinds of activities with them. I also enjoy doing construction projects with my brother-in-law and helping my father-in-law with his concession trailer. Currently, I am helping my son build his home. My son started his house this past fall. We subcontracted the framing to get it under the roof, and I took over from there. My sons, brother-in-law, and I did all the wiring, plumbing, flooring, trimming, etc. My son is hoping to move in this month.”
Barry was full of surprises as well. When we asked him to share something that would surprise us, Barry said, “I make the best Kettle Corn and pretzels around. My father-in-law has a concession trailer (Pop Pop’s Kettle Corn) that he does special events and people just rave about it.”
When Barry is not managing the yard at Cardinal Home Center, building homes, or making kettle corn, Barry is happiest when all the work/projects are done, and he can relax a little bit surrounded by family and friends.
