Making a Splash: Meet Linda Sadler Pool Sales, Madison
Meet Linda Sadler, one of Cardinal Home Center’s finest. Linda has been a part of the team for almost three years, and her role involves running the swimming pool division while also helping out in retail. However, Linda’s story with pools goes way back – in 1983, she and her husband started their own pool business from their barn, which eventually led to the opening of their retail store in Madison County in 1986.
Despite retiring in December 2011, Linda has found her way back to her passion for serving customers and is now doing it again at Cardinal Home Center. When asked what accomplishment she is most proud of, Linda mentioned serving customers for many years and continuing to do so in her current role.
For Linda, working with her customers and co-workers is the best part of her job. She enjoys the team’s dynamic, striving to satisfy customers. Linda admits that one of the biggest challenges she has faced is all the new technology with swimming pools and spas, but she still likes to focus on the basics of pool care.
Cardinal Home Center offers a complete line of chemicals for both pools and spas, with chlorine and non-chlorine systems that are some of the best in the industry. As for Linda’s free time, she admits that pool season is a six-day-a-week job, but she still finds joy in spending time with her family, watching them in sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football.
One thing Linda has learned while working at Cardinal Home Center is the freedom of not having her own business. The stress is gone, and Linda can concentrate on customer service throughout the store and not just in the pool division.
When asked what surprises people about her, Linda goes back to her teenage years when she was the president of the teen club and kept all the 45 RPMs when it dissolved. Nowadays, Linda is happiest with her family, at the beach, traveling, at work, with friends, listening to live music at local venues, or her church.
