Jeff McCurry, A Familiar Face for Cardinal Customers

With over 27 years of experience working at Cardinal Home Center in Madison, Jeff McCurry has met many contractors and homeowners over the years. Between assisting walk-in customers, helping contractors on the job, and everything in between, Jeff is committed to seeing customers succeed with their projects. We sat down with Jeff to learn more about his background.

Before coming to Cardinal, Jeff actually worked for another building supply. He also told us that he had a tire shop for a few years afterward. Back when Jeff started, our store was located just across the street before we moved to our current building in 2001. Back then, the store was a lot smaller, as we have expanded our footprint to service a wider range of customers. Jeff said his co-workers and customers have what led to him having such a long career at Cardinal. The biggest lesson he’s learned? Keep laid back, but do what you can to help.

Given his experience, we also asked Jeff’s advice for homeowners who are thinking about building in 2023. Jeff said it is important to keep your options open when it comes to choosing materials or timelines. While supplies of some materials have gotten a little better over the past months, other materials are still a little difficult to get.

Outside of work, Jeff likes to golf and work in his workshop. He also likes reading when he has time. Jeff said he is happiest when he’s outdoors. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us, Jeff!
