Adopt a Grandparent: Help Us Remember Nearly 500 Local Seniors This Christmas
Around the holidays, our stores feel busy. People are picking up gifts, fixing up houses, getting ready for family to visit.
At the same time, a lot of residents in nearby nursing homes have a much quieter season. Some do not get many visitors. Some may not get any gifts at all.
Cardinal Home Center is proud to support the Adopt a Grandparent initiative this holiday season, partnering with Mary Kay to help bring gifts to residents in local nursing homes near each of our store locations. Our goal is simple – make sure every resident receives a gift this Christmas.
Here are the homes we’re supporting:
- Autumn Care of Madison – 84 residents
- Colonnades Charlottesville – 56 residents
- English Meadows Crozet – 79 residents
- Shenandoah Nursing & Rehab – 84 residents
- Louisa Health & Rehabilitation Center – 90 residents
- River Edge Rehab & Nursing – 104 residents
That is nearly 500 people who will receive a gift before Christmas.
What Your Sponsorship Provides
For $13, you can sponsor one resident. Your gift covers:
- Fuzzy socks
- A sweet treat
- Mint Bliss lotion
- A handwritten card
How To Support
Customers can participate by sponsoring residents in other local facilities in our communities. Each of our store locations is accepting donations through December 14.
Gifts will be delivered before Christmas by Mike Kreh and Kristen Allen, a Mary Kay representative and veteran, on behalf of the Cardinal and Mary Kay teams.
