Employee Spotlight: Judy Wagoner

Cardinal Home Center’s Employee Spotlight series highlights the talented individuals who dedicate their time to our business. Each month, we feature an employee on our website. This month’s spotlight features Judy Wagoner from our Charlottesville location. Judy specializes in Hunter Douglas blinds and shades, helping customers transform light in their homes and finding a wallpaper that can match their style. Read more below and meet Judy!

Employee Spotlight – Judy Wagoner

1) How long have you worked with Cardinal?

I started working at our Greenbrier store in 2017.

2) What was your background or experience before working at Cardinal?

I worked in the food service industry for several years as a bartender.

3) What is your area of expertise at Cardinal Home Center?

At Cardinal, I specialize in window treatments and wallpaper options. I assist with walking customers through the right options for their homes and help to facilitate the ordering and installation process.

4) What do you tell customers who are trying to find the right Hunter Douglas shades for their home?

When customers usually come in for their appointment, I usually go through a few questions to help understand their style and end goal. I typically ask customers the types of windows they seek to install blinds on – if the windows tilt open, have a crank-style to open and close, and if they are looking to cover a large picture window. I also ask how they want to operate their blinds, whether manually or with a cordless or power lift option.

5) What hobbies do you have outside of work?

When I’m not at the store, I love to read books, shop for antiques, and play with our puppy, Jack.

6) What do you enjoy most about working at Cardinal Home Center?

I love our working family relationship and the help each person gives when you have a question. We have a very supportive family structure at Cardinal where everyone is willing to help each other when needed. I also enjoy meeting and helping all the customers who walk through our doors daily.
