Meet our Corporate Purchaser, Diana Stalnaker

Diana Stalnaker is no stranger to Cardinal Home Center; currently our corporate purchaser, she has been with the company since Blue Ridge Builders Supply opened its doors in 1987. Starting her career at Lowes in Charlottesville – a year and a half in, she and some of her co-workers came together to start Blue Ridge Builders Supply.

Diana reflected on the many changes she has seen over the years, both at work and outside. “The biggest change is the technology, the way you communicate quickly, and the product advancements in the construction industry.” Diana herself has served in many roles – as the corporate purchaser for all three of Cardinal Home Center’s stores, she has a background assisting in marketing and working the sales counter and has always filled in wherever needed. Over the years, she says she has been fortunate to maintain relationships with customers she met on the sales counters, vendors, and past employees.

We asked Diana what her typical day looks like, and she certainly stays busy throughout the day. Balancing between daily orders for the stores, verifying orders with our vendors, answering questions, and ensuring our sales team has any special-ordered products they need, Diana likes how there is always something different about her routine.

When she’s not at Cardinal, Diana enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren, watching NASCAR racing, and sewing. Diana also told us about her adventurous side – she would love to go bungee jumping. “I’m a little bit of a daredevil.”
