Mark Rush, the Jack-of-All-Trades at Cardinal Home Center

Meet Mark Rush, a dedicated and versatile Cardinal Home Center team member. With 12 years of experience, Mark has become an invaluable asset to our organization, known for his unwavering work ethic and willingness to tackle any task.

Mark’s connection to Cardinal Home Center runs deep. His father, a former employee at Blue Ridge Builders Supply (now Cardinal Home Center), instilled in him a strong work ethic and a sense of loyalty to the company. Mark made his way to Cardinal as well, and this family tie and the value Mark places on family, in general, are two significant aspects that have shaped his work at Cardinal Home Center.

Mark serves as a Load Puller, ensuring all deliveries are efficiently prepared and organized in the yard. However, Mark tackles any task that comes his way in the yard. His versatility and willingness to step up whenever needed make him an indispensable asset to the team. Mark admits, “I do a little bit of everything.”

When asked about his proudest accomplishment, Mark humbly mentions his ability to handle large framing loads easily. What Mark enjoys most about his job, however, is the people he works with. The strong sense of camaraderie and the support he receives from his teammates make his work environment truly enjoyable.

Working in the yard at Cardinal Home Center is no ordinary job, and Mark is keen to share an interesting insight. As he puts it, “Everyone at Cardinal says, ‘I am always working.'” This statement reflects the dedication and commitment of the entire team, always ready to go the extra mile to meet the needs of our customers.

When Mark is not hard at work, you can find him simply enjoying his free time, sitting outside, and relaxing at home.

Lastly, when we asked Mark to tell us something that would surprise us, he said with a chuckle, “I am good-looking.” While we can’t confirm or deny this, 😊 Mark’s positive attitude and charismatic personality certainly light up the workplace and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere at Cardinal Home Center.
